Today, we are headed to Disneyland with our Disney gang: me and the kids, plus my mom and my brothers. We try to plan at least one trip a year with our group, and this year we decided to introduce them to the holidays at the Disneyland Resort!
Heading into 2020 Like…
While the kids and I get to experience the Disneyland Resort more often with our annual passes, this is a once a year kinda thing for my family. Michael can’t stop talking about watching Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones at the Royal Theatre, Joe is celebrating his birthday this month, and my mom is making her trip easier by renting a scooter! While it’s a completely different trip than when it’s just the three of us, the kids and I love to share our love of Disney with my family!
Some Old…
For this trip, we headed back to Camelot Inn & Suites for their family suite. They are renovating their rooms, and while this is usually a good thing, they taking out a few features that we enjoyed, namely a large dining table and extra fridge. We had a choice when we booked, so we’re spending one last time in the old style room. You can see my room tours of the old style Camelot Inn & Suites below, with and without our stuff.
Some New…
New this year, my dad had some Southwest points stashed, so we all flew instead of renting a van like last year. It should come out much cheaper that way, strangely enough! You can read about last year here and here.
Prime Now
Also new this year is using the grocery delivery service Prime Now from Amazon. Last year we had a van to bring all of our own groceries, and on our last trip, the kids and I had a bad first experience with Instacart. Prime Now was a super simple and economical way to get all of the groceries we would need without having to pack them or pay delivery fees (besides tipping the drivers).
